okay frist thing frist thanks for all the help so far i'm slowy getting my truck pieced back together anyway i was wonder the bottom of my door is rusted out the part that faces the door sill anyway the res tof the door is strong is there any way to cut that part of the door out and weld in an new piece or would i be better off getting 2 new doors?

They make a patch for the door bottom. I don't know anyone who has used on, so I can't speak intelligently on them.

I agree, and OE doors seem to fit better than REPROS, or so I
have been told by many, I'd save them if they are worth it ;)

the rest of the door is strong just the bottom rusted out from where the water was sitting in it anyone know where i cang et patch panels?

I am curious about this????? Would holes somewhere in the bottom of the doors let the water drain out?? Or would this just add to the problem.. The Rockers have holes to drain.
About the doors, yards around here sell good doors for 25-75. That depends on how complete and glass or not. Not worth realy patching in that case

i took a donor door and cut the bottom door skin off and replaced my bottom

You can get the patch panel from GMCPauls or Mother Trucker.
I had to use one on my door and it worked fine.

I'd say it depends on your situation. If doors are readily available nearby and you can't weld- replace it. If you have the tools, skills and time- repair it.

The patch panel you need is the inner door bottom we carry them as do most vendors.

In regards to the mention of drain holes for doors the original doors and repo's both have these drain holes on them, its just that most folks never clean the dirt & debris that gets inside the door out and it plugs the drain holes making them hold water. If you have good doors now be sure to open them and look underneath at outer edge of door skin and door bottom to see if drain holes are clear of debris.
