Rhino liner appointment
 

Finally bit the bullet and made an appointment to get a liner sprayed in the bed. Anyone have any gripes with Rhino. My appointment is for Thursday.

I'm going to take some before and after pics.

They took a look at the bed and said it's good to go. Line-X wanted me to sandblast prior to their application.

Rhino makes a good liner, so does Line-x. You must have a lazy rep, cause we had all our work trucks done with line-x and they did all the prep. I think it was $340 a bed. I think you will like the Rhino alot. my neighbor has it and he has no problems. ANYTHING beats those stupid plastic liners that do more damage than they prevent. Plus everything slides around.

drop-ins do slip a lot but, i had one in my 92 gmc for 10 years and not a speck of rust underneath. i did however apply some inexpensive body side moulding to the underside ribs of the liner before installing it.
spray on liners hold up great to abrasion, but won't stop dents as drop-ins will, and in my part of the country, (hot and humid) they chalk up real bad after a couple years.
the key to a good drop-in that i've found is to find one that won't let water in from the top, and i'm not talking about an over the rail liner either, cuz i think they are ugly and only good for work trucks. if any of you have a drop-in and hate the sliding out back, add some hooks to bind your load ( i took my liner out and put retractable hooks at the bottom cuz top hooks do little good), or use the recesses in the liner and install a 2x4 to hold load, or buy a mesh basket available everwhere to hold your cargo.

Before you go get the Rhino liner, you may want to look at the others. I went with Speed liner because of the look of it after one year. The Rhino liner has a dry chaulky look to it after only a year. The speed liner does not. It remains looking vitually the same as the day it was sprayed. It really all depends on what you want though. Just though I would let you know. If you have ever seen Herculiner(do it yourself liner), the rhino liner will look just like it. I am going to just do the Herculiner myself in my bed and SAVE some money.

HAD A 95 CHEV PU WITH LINE-X, CUSTOM COLOR, OVER THE RAILS-COST $425.00. IT WAS GREAT EXCEPT FOR ONE THING...NOTHING WILL SLIDE IN IT. IF YOU PUT A BOX IN THE BACK YOU HAVE TO GET UP IN THE BED TO PLACE IT-JUST DOES NOT SLIDE.

A guy at work has his whole Jeep pickup painted with the stuff. It looks pretty good.

My wife's cousin has his Ranger Rhinolined. It looks really nice and is strong as h#ll. I talked to him about it and he suggested going the Line-x route because it was a lot less expensive. His is the black over the rails and he paid $450. I'm guessing to do the whole inside of my K-5 will be closer to $600.

A friend I know had his truck done by a local Rhino Liner authorized shop.
It was a bad prep job; you could peel it off with your bare hands.
After he complained to Rhino Corporate they agreed to pay to have it done at another location. The difference was night and day. My advice is to get a reference from Rhino
Corp. and visit the facility and look at some of their work.
The preparation is the key to the product adhering to the bed.

I have seen and used several trucks with Rhino. I love it. Would suggest it to anybody.

My typhoon has been sprayed inside with Line-X... Still looks good, but of course it is all under the carpet...can't see it.
Previous owner had it done for sound, not sure how well it worked.
