can someone help me with fuel selector valve wiring
HI ALL :hi2: :new:
i have searched and searched to no avail heres the problems (it maybe long) this is the driverside tank BTW 86 k10 duel tanks installed sending unit(used) and new tank sending unit works and is not very old checked it with a ohm meter. any way tank still reads empty.. tanks been in and out twice now (now im fixing everything from the rot holes in the cab LOL) ok i found the wires comming from the harness on the PS and traced them to the DS there are three wires comming out on the DS harness i swapped them around thinking they were crossed now niether tank reads ok ill swap them back NOT broken wire in the hat of one of the sending unit ends (will fix that tommarrow i hope) :help: Question is how the hell are those wires supposed to hook up? the valve works like its supposed to and the sending unit is grounded. what seems to be the problem CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEE :whine: before i go :crazy: haynes manual is garbage as usual for crap like this.. thanks allot all |

It sounds like the wiring at the firewall inside the cab where the three connect to is bad or someplace after that. After they meet at the firewall they go to the selector switch by the ash tray. Try checking it for bad connections and maybe a bad switch.

i just found out that if i unhook the groud wire from the DS tank everthing stays exactly the same. im thinking that the ground is not grounding somehow.. |
