Power to manual steering swap

I'm converting from power steering to manual steering in my 72 truck. I have a manual box and pittman arm. Are the draglinks the same for either or do I need one for manual steering. Any other pieces I need for the swap besides the box and pittman? Thanks for any help.

Center link (drag link as you call it) is the same. I believe the intermediate steering shaft (between column and rag joint) is longer on a manual.

If you have the steering box with rag joint and pitman, it's a straight remove and replace swap. The intermediate shaft bolts right onto the manual box steering coupler, with no mods. Center link is the same too.

It is recomended that you place the power steering parts on your curb and send Tx Firefighter a message when you do it. He'll do the rest. I'd hate for you to be tripping over that power steering crap.

LOL!! I want the PS stuff but switching to a BBC and don't have the right pullies, brackets yet. I'm hoping to have the motor in next weekend and I'm impatient. I want to drive the truck next week. Hopefully the right pullies and brackets will turn up soon. I need the long pump stuff if they will work on the 72. The motor already has the long pump. Thanks for the help guys.

Oh Crap...

I just basically gave away a set of BBC long pullies and brackets. I couldn't find anyone who wanted them. I tried to sell the whole setup on here for 100 bucks with zero intrest. I think I got 80 bucks for everything including the p/s pump and compressor too.
