Well here she is an 87 gmc 1 ton dually box truck. I will be using it for my business. The truck has a carburated 350 with what I believe is a th350 tranny. Here are some pics and was wondering if you could help me identifing this tranny. If possile I think I would like a diff tranny as this one doesn't have overdrive. Is this normal? It seems to have only three gears. Sorry for the ignorance but am new to this stye truck, ok thats all I have to say!

Truck has only 86k original miles, and the body is straight!

i dont remimber what kinda tranny that is but we had a truck like that a few years ago didnt look half that good when we had it i was like you i wanted another gear but when you put a load on it you will burn that sucker up quickly b/c it will shift in and out al the time IMHO. as far as the truck it self it worked great very handy we also pulled are dirt track car on a trailer with it never had a problem with it until we put the wrong plugs in it and burned up a couple cylenders Ernie miller put another motor in it and a week later a nother one b/c they put the same plugs back in it (it seems like they were a platinum plug or something my racing buddy at the time was anal about getting the best well i guess he learnd a lesson that time :haha:

It has a square pan but I'm not sure if its angled or not, I'll have to check it out, the truck runs real well and looks real nice for its age, no rust!
