where did yall get your parts

Okay as a nother member suggested i am posting this to find out were to get some parts that yall have ordered. I am looking for good values and quality. I need all the window seals including the vent windows and both front inner fenders for my 84 c10. I may also be looking for a used front bumper becasue mine is pitted bad.

Thanks ALOT for the input guys and good luck with ur projects:metal: :metal:

I bought my last set of window rubber from a GM dealership. Since I was able to get a decent discount I felt it was the best choice rather than risking the quality of aftermarket rubber.

It's hard to beat the quality of GM sheet metal. In my opinion your best bet is to find rust free GM fenders....:)

I too buy all my stuff at the dealership.

BTW, you can get brand new completely assembled wing windows through GM. New glass, new rubber, new everything, just bolt them in. They cost a little more than rebuilding an old set, but no wind whistle at all.

Care to share the part # and price? Are they for the entire 73-87 line, or just 81-87?

i hate to be the black sheep, but i too try to get good quality parts at the best price - who doesn't! i'm sure that there's a good case for argument that you can't get an aftermarket part that's "good quality" ! regardless, i got all of my rubber from ChevyDuty and LMC truck... decent prices, good stuff. I rebuilt my wing windows and am very pleased with the results. I've put roughtly 200-300 miles on my project since completion and have had no problems with wind noise

good luck

Re: where did yall get your parts

what i did, i removed the rivets that are on the hinge on the upper side. once the new gasket was in, i used 7mm bolts to put it back together. once in the truck, you cant see the bolts. I am told tha you can get the rivets just as GM used... someone on here posted links for them before...
