WTB SM465 Chrome Shifter
 

I want to buy a chrome shifter for my SM465. The welds where the ball attaches to the shifter rod must be perfectly solid with no cracks. That's where mine was cracked. I would prefer the chrome to be in good condition.

not to hijack the thread, but where could one buy one brand new? ive been looking, not hard, but just looking and cant find one.

I just got off the phone with a guy from California that another board member hooked me up with. He didn't have one but says Sutlif Chevrolet in Philidelphia has one in stock. Price was in the neighborhood of $120. Part # is 6274077
You could probably go to a Chevy Dealer near you and order it from them and they would get the one from Sutlif Chevy delivered to their parts department.
My truck isn't a total restoration so cosmetics were not as important to me as function. $120 was a bit too rich for my blood.

Thanks to Wedgemon I am getting a good part for a reasonable price. Dave let me know if you need anything for your 78. I do have some odds and ends Chevy truck parts in my garage.
