Rotors

Can any one tell me if I can use 1971 3/4 ton rotors that are 6 lug on a 78 1/2 ton spindle? Also will the 71 wheel bearings work in the 78 rotor?
I'm trying to rig up something and use the parts I have.

That's a good question for the suspension gurus

Re: Rotors

Every listing I find for a 71 2wd 3/4 ton shows 8 lug -- and none of the bearings show a match for the 78 5 lug 1/2 ton not even the heavy 1/2 ton--does not mean I am right tho --we need the TX Firefighter

Re: Rotors

Three quarter tons were 8 lug mostly. I say mostly, because GM did build a few 3/4 ton trucks with light brake package in the very late 80's and possibly early 90's. They were the new body style truck that began in 88. They had the 6 lug rotors. I've seen them around, but never researched the year span of production.

I got my 6 lug rotors from Early Classic Enterprises.

It's a shame too, because they're just sitting in my shed unused ;)
