leveling
short of letting air out of the tires or throwing concrete blocks in the bed, how can I lower the rear about 1-2 inches?
|
Re: leveling
just get some shackles. they are about 50 bucks. you can lower either 1 or 2 inches with them
|
Re: leveling
take out one of your helper or overload springs...all it'd cost ya is the time and maybe another center bolt
|
Re: leveling
Looks like he is asking about a 67 rear suspension. Blocks should get what you want....:)

Re: leveling
Shackles for a truck/leaf suspension or blocks for a truck/coil suspension.

Re: leveling
ok, it has coils, so the blocks go between the axle and the trailing arm? thanks

Re: leveling
Here's a picture of a set I built.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1101853052 Knowing you, you will build a tricker looking set. I built these at work when I worked for the Post Office. We didn't have too much fabrication stuff to work with in that shop. It's 2x3 thick wall tubing that I capped on the ends with plate. The u-bolts came from a local truck spring shop. I took in a stock one and told them to build me a pair 2 inches longer. |
Re: leveling
Thanks to all --you gave me a path that leads somewhere. TXF, I believe all that I require if I can retain the ubolt threads is a full nut on them. I will look to see how much I can get with the OEM u-bolts. Then after I waste that time --go after longer ones.
