My new blue machine!
Here's some pictures of my new 71 cheyenne custom camper/20 with factory 402/4-speed and a/c. It has other options, too, but I couldn't get the glovebox sheet to show up. I will try later, though. Drove it home for $250

|
Re: My new blue machine!
Pictures aren't real clear but almost looks like a LONGHORN. An even better deal for $250 if it is. Wood floor or metal?
|
Re: My new blue machine!
Nice score and great $$$$
|
Re: My new blue machine!
NIce Score, Definitely worth every penny and then some...
|
Re: My new blue machine!
Great deal! Want to sell it and make some money? :D
|
Re: My new blue machine!
Now it's people like you that can take a gem of truck like that and turn it into a diamond with devotion!
I don't see too many like that in that condition for that price, excellent score. |

Thats what I though from the passenger side picture. |
Re: My new blue machine!
Yeah, it's a longhorn. Did I mention it has perfect, noise-free power steering?:hmm:
|
Re: My new blue machine!
Awesome deal for 250 bucks! :metal: Not sure on the carb, but I have seen a bunch of original 4bbl holley's on the 67-72 C/50 and C/60 trucks though.
|
Re: My new blue machine!
sweeeet, one of 3331 C/20 Longhorns made in 71. Looks like a pretty solid one...esp for your neck of the woods...and the price....sweeeeet.
Now the big question... you drove it home....but is it really driveable, or should you have towed it? (I drove one home, but 99% of the ppl I know would have never even tried) |
Re: My new blue machine!
You stole it!:D
|
Re: My new blue machine!
Yeah it's driveable. The only thing wrong with it is that one of the saddle tanks is being held up by bunji(sp?) straps.
|
Re: My new blue machine!
Great price for the truck.
|
Re: My new blue machine!
Did you say Cheyenne?
I thought Cheyennes had wood grained trim. What does the option sticker say? |
Re: My new blue machine!
A few of the trim pieces have been replaced with black pieces as the woodgrain ones probably fell off. It list custom sport truck on the option sticker. It's wierd, though, it does NOT have the vent in the driver's side jam??

Re: My new blue machine!
Nice deal!
Keep us updated as you fix it up. |
Re: My new blue machine!
That is interesting that the vent isn't there... is it by chance an early one... like 12/70 or something?
|
