Re: Dealer Price Schedule F/S
Not sure if it is actually a price supplement to the parts book since it covers both passenger cars and trucks. No pictures inside but lots of part numbers. Guess I didn't do a very good job on the description to begin with.

Re: Dealer Price Schedule F/S
This would have been an actual pricing list that came out at least quarterly back in those days. Remember there was civilization before the computer age and pricing info came in the form of catalogs and books. The actual parts and descriptions were printed and sent to replace sections in binder books updated generally when new models came out. The list price of parts were most times printed in those new parts book releases too but the actual current prices and trade pricing came from these quarterly pricing books. Another note is in the 60's and 70's before the computer terminal information, most dealers were using those microfiche viewers with parts and pricing info and updates came monthly when new microfiche cards were sent out. I also remember the first computers at the GM dealer because they were not networked to GM and the updates were sent on a bunch of floppy disk s each month. When you ordered a part, which took a week back then you were subject to the most current GM disk price when it the part came in!
Man this thread brought up a lot of old memories of trips to the Chevy dealer. |
