Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but do any of you guys know who sells foam for these seats? I checked out LMC and I don't recall them selling the foams, I think that Chevy Duty might carry them but I'm not sure. I'm just looking for some vendors who carry them at a decent price.

Thanks a lot in advance for any info,
Larry

Thanks guys. That's about what I expected for a price.

Wes, do you also carry the foam for the bucket buddy?

Some food for thought. I don't know how comfortable the foams are, but any competent upholsterer could make a comfortable seat foam setup. I don't know the price difference however.

Thanks Brad, I never really thought of that. Now the only problem is to find somebody competent enough to do a good job. It will probably take me a while to do my homework on that one.

The foam for seats can get interesting as the actual foam is often different depending on weather it is for the seat, side bolsters, etc. Some will compress more then others so you might want to make sure what you get is what you really need. Can't just take some foam out of an old chair and put it on, ---your butt will get twisted!! )/(

Yeah, I was thinking about that Huck. How do you test the seat foam before they put it in though? I would hate to have them install seat foam, and then have it not fill out the upholstering properly, and mostly be uncomfortable to sit in. The upholsterer would probably be a little peeved if I told him/her that I didn't like the work, and then told them to either redo it or take the foam out so that I could take my business elsewhere.
I really need to find a good upholsterer, probably by word of mouth. The only problem is that I don't know anyone who has had anything reupholstered:confused:

Re: Wanted. factory split buckets with center console for 67-72 chevy truck.

you could go ahead and cut out the upholster and purchase the ready made cushions I did cushons and covers on my camaro. The worst part was the intimadation before I tryed it. Its not hard at all (approx ! hr. each) Against the time to find, transport ,and go pick up from a shop, plus their bill and it looks to me to pretty much be a wash to me in expenses. Just take your old seats apart slowly and reassemble just the opposite
