Towing/hauling with a lowered 67

I'd like to instal a 4/6 ECE drop kit on my pickup but am concerned about it's affect on towing. I'd like to be able to pull my boat or carry a load of parts to he swapmeet. Should I forget about lowering it or maybe just a slight drop instead? thanks, bighead

Go ahead and drop it. If you have trouble with it bottoming out get a set of helper bags for the rear. Unlike airshocks, the bags can be aired down so they do not affect the ride when not in use. I have a couple trucks with them as well as a slammed 84 Z28 that I pulled a small trailer with....:)

If you go this route, remember to keep some air in them all the time. If not, they will get caught in the springs and be torn up. They will also significantly affect ride. Had some in my sagged out chevelle.

classic performance procucts makes a HD lowering spring for trucks that will be used for hauling and towing. helper air bags will definatly be a big help though
