Guess it's time for new ignition, lol

I ditched the hardtop on my 72 Blazer and still haven't installed the soft top, so I keep it in the garage at my work. I came back from lunch the other day and the Blazer was outside, even though I have the only 2 sets of keys.

Turns out my brother tried the key from my dads rotted out 78 Silverado, and it worked. Blazer key doesn't work in the truck, though. If that key worked, who knows how many others will. Something else to replace,

I've had trucks that any GM key would start. Guess the tumblers wear out.

I had some buddies in college that could use each others keys on their cars. One was a Honda and the other was a Subaru Brat.

I'm sure there weren't too many different key made on the trucks. If we all got together, I'm sure many of us could start other board members rigs.

I could start my 68 with jsut about any key, or even a screwdriver for that matter. :)

One of the first things I did was replace all the locks on the truck so that I could secure it better. Even though it looks like a heap of junk to some I figure some "others" would see it like me and possibly want it more than I do. You could pull the key out and it would keep running.
