Center shoulder seat belt?

With the warmer weather approaching, I'm sure I will be driving the 72 more often. And driving with my 7 & 5 year old daughters. Looking at these shoulder belts for my truck:

And I would like to put a shoulder belt in the middle seat. Any suggestions? Or suggestions for other brands of shoulder belts. Would rather buy a kit as opposed to pulling from 90's S-10 or something like that.

With the traditional designed belts, you don't have an anchor point (least a safe one) for a center shoulder belt. I'm not sure how you would do it without a rollbar.

Re: Center shoulder seat belt?

Custom shoulder belts could use the lap belt anchor points in the floor. Or look at the seat frame for a point to drill shoulder belt anchor points or maybe weld in anchor points. Might not be as strong as factory captive nuts in the cab and certainly not as strong as weld-in cage mounts, but it would be better than nothing. You could also use a racing harness for the center position. Just flip over the shoulder belt portion, but one must make sure the the top mounts are higher than the shoulders harnessed since lower mounts could cause great injury thru momentum induced compression of the torso. Takes some careful research. Maybe ask a race shop that knows their safety stuff.
