Re: The Project SWB
I'd go suspension/cab/motor, trans/front sheetmetal/bed

Re: The Project SWB
this is how im doing it
-suspension/brakes -engine/ drivetrain -body -interior all to be compleated by mid summer.... ....RIIIIGHT  |
Re: The Project SWB
i did body, and suspension at the same time since i had the bed and front end off and was fixing rust in the cab, so half the frame was exposed so i painted it then. then paint the body, and meanwhile do engine/transmission, then reassemble the truck and send it to the interior guy.

Re: The Project SWB
If I could go back and start over,I'd rebuild the suspension and assemble the complete rolling chassis.Once that was done and I was happy with everything, then I'd disassemble and blast/coat/paint (whatever).
I made the mistake of disassembling then blast and paint right away. Now that I've changed plans and made frame mods,I've had the hassle of cleaning off the new paint to make the mods and of course messed up the fresh paint job. ahh well, live and learn.....the hard way. |
Re: The Project SWB
