Dismantaled and rebuilding

Well the truck is tore down, (only broke nine bolt) frames sandblasted and painted. TCI front end and rear end is in, engine and tranny mounts are in. The cab back on and the 40-60 seats, steering column and brake booster from the 89 caprice are in. I wanted to sandblast the cab but yesterday it was -49f with the wind chill. I started sanding the cab last nite, it going to be slow. My father painted the truck with Jonh Deere green paint and a brush in 62-63 because the paint was peeling and didn't clean the surface rust up. It's pretty deep now and the only thing I found to remove the rust is drywall sanding screens, my air sanders won't touch it, plugged in 30 seconds.I've been working 4 hour every nite and 14 hour on sunday. If anybody knows an easier way please let me know.

You may want to use a chemical strip to get the heavy stuff off then blast it. that way you don't need a big grit that will ding up the panels. Don't concetrate on one area to long it will heat and warp the panels.
Good luck it sounds like fun..... not.
