Electrical delimma...Ack!
I am not real good with electrical problems. The right front signal won't work on my '71; the bulb won't light. Following the usual troubleshooting manuals, I replaced the bulb...nothing. I replaced the assembly, nothing. Now, my left flashers blink very slowly and my emergency flashers don't at all. Any ideas short of the whole wiring harness? I don't think that's it anyway. Help!! :banghead:

Re: Electrical delimma...Ack!
Would the switch keep one bulb from working?

Re: Electrical delimma...Ack!
first thing i do with light problems is take the ground wires apart and clean the connections

Re: Electrical delimma...Ack!
If I'm looking at all the flashers and stuff, looks like a looong weekend. Thanks. I did that with the r/f already.

Re: Electrical delimma...Ack!
get a multimeter or a test light and check for juice at the prong connector with either the 4 ways or right turn signal on. If you're 4 ways don't work I'd check all the way around on the back side as well. It sounds like a switch problem to me.

Re: Electrical delimma...Ack!
I'm with cdowns on this one. Bad ground. There should be a ground on the rad core support from the light assy. pigtail, check this first. http://www.geocities.com/chevroletc1070/v8engcomp.html

Re: Electrical delimma...Ack!
Update: My emergency flashers and left blinkers are working normally, but the rear sidemarkers come on with the lights, but they don't flash. My left front sidemarker works right, and the right front sidemarker works like the right front turn signal -- that is not at all. :(
