Who makes drop leaf springs for 72 GMC 1500?
I have a 72 GMC 1500 and am needing to install some drop leafs in the rear. Who makes or sells them besides ECE. I am not sure if I need a 5" drop like they sell. I might only want to do a 3" or 4".

As I recall there are a couple of ways of getting a smaller drop, one is to put the drive axle on top of the rear leafs (the flip kit), hte other is to take the leafs to a reputable spring shop and ask them to de-arch them. Personally I recommend looking into the flip kit, since de-arching the springs has been known to change spring rates, and I am assuming you want to keep the same spring rates, otherwise removing leafs is another way to get a slight drop in the rear end.

Axel flip will give you 6"drop. ECE and Classic Performance have drop springs.

you could get the 5" drop springs, and then get some 2" lift blocks to put between the leafs and the axle, giving you an effective 3" drop. Advance has the lift blocks for like $20-30.
