the front disk brake spindles seem to have lowered the front a little bit. im working on getting a set of lower profile tires, the 33's are from my 1972 k5.
the black dash pic is my "before" shot. i wish i had taken more. that thing is a rocket, i need to be wary of getting more speeding tickets. i'm installing a pair of g.m. surplus cadillac mufflers to shut her up a little bit. im getting too old to be making so much noise. i still have a long way to go, but all my mechanicals are new and tight as of now. i will probably start prepping the exterior for paint soon. i'd like to find a paint distributor on here who is familiar with the oem paint colors specifically medium light green. the last picture matches the color i want to use. :metal: |

Nice. The tires are huge.
I grew up in Torrance & Rolling Hills Estates, not too far from you. We were just down the hill from the Peninsula Center. I have a friend who lives in San Pedro. |

Looks to be in really good shape - nice to see another 2wd out there.

Re: pictures of my 1970 c5
Looks good!
So are you going for an all original look? Seeing a nicely restored 1970 original 2wd will be sweet. |

Re: pictures of my 1970 c5
thank you for all of your compliments, i have been obsessed with these blazers since i traded my 1967 396 el camino for my 1972 cst k5 in 1997. my 1970 here is my last hotrod. i can't do better than this. i always planned on upgrading my chevy's every few years until i got a pre 1962 corvette.
yes i plan on keeping it as original as possible. i dont mind aftermarket parts when they improve performasnce in some way. im thinking seriously about dumping my stroker small block and reinstalling an inline 6 250 cu inch motor per the build sheet. the original floor is 98% solid thanks to the original owner leaving it under a carport in his yard for almost 20 years with the carpet removed. i wish there was a way to earn a living by discussing classic cars and trucks constantly.
