If you mean factory steelies, they are 15x6 & a 235 is about the widest you would want to go. If you find a set of stock ralleys you can get them from 15x6.5-15x8(5-lug) & 15x8 only(6-lug). In front I run 6.5's w/215-75's & out back 8" w/275-60's. I wouldn't go much wider than 275's because even @ that width the bead is actually being pinched on stock 8" ralley.

Thats a sweet looking 68 scoti

That sure is a good looking 68 there.
I run a 275/60 on a 9.5 inch rim, and it is just right...I couldn't imagine them on rims that small. |
I have my 275/60s on an 8" rim.......they are crowdin the rim a bit,but do lay a full footprint under hard throttle....Al

Thanks guys. One of these days when I finish the other project I'll prob slick the dents & budget paint the 68. I think a 9-9.5" wheel would be ideal for a 275 tire. I've been toying w/putting some 255-70's on the back to help w/freeway rpm's & at the same time get closer to ideal tire vs. rim width. If you guys like my beater, I think you'll dig my RestoRod 67 as well (it's lower & has 18/20's).
