Newer 2wd Tahoe/Yukon?

In Canada the 2WD ended in 1982. I was told that in the US some of the later years could be ordered in 2WD.

Anybody have an idea what year and model? That is probably my next 2WD if i can find one.

Thanks, Doug

Not that these would be close enough for you to see, but here's an idea.
I assume you meant 2 door but 4 doors seem to be readily available.

Yeah, the white one is nice, but I think he'll be sitting on that one for a while.

I talked to the dealer with the red one on the phone. I asked why is it almost double book. He said it has lots of custom stuff. I said like what? He says lowered, big wheels, and "other stuff". I said are you sure its been lowered - it just looks like big wheels to me from the picture? As far as custom the red grill inserts would get painted back to original or something less tacky first thing. What else is custom? He says lots of "other things". So I say $1000 in wheels and tires makes its value double? He said I'll have to come look at it and hung up on me?
After a few weeks I e-mailed them and asked if they still had it and they said yes and they are looking to make someone a real "special" deal on it...

I was looking for the rear window crank for the 87 blazer.I called the dealship in town and ask the parts guy.His reply was "is it 2wd or 4x4?"I said i was looking for the fullsize blazer parts not s-10 stuff. He said that the 2wd fullsize blazers were made up to 91.After an hour or so on the phone i gave up.He did have the window crank for 75 bucks tho.

I was also told a lot of the 82 2wds sat in dealerships for a few years before been sold(when they were new)

I have never seen a 2wd after 1982. I think he is wrong.

Don't know if this helps with the question... but I just bought a 1999 2wd Tahoe. It's four door, with doors out back. The lady I bought it from went out and purchased a new 2006 2wd.

Loblazer I found a 99 Tahoe 2wd on another board that looks great. Its in Arkansas though. If I had not just bought the 96 Yukon 4dr 2wd I might have went and checked it out but my 96 less miles than this 99.

If you want the info let me know. He is asking $8400 and its got 108k

Re: Newer 2wd Tahoe/Yukon?

Thanks for the tip. Looks nice but that seems like a lot of money for a 99? I might be cheaper to buy a 4wd up here and convert it. I can make money on the 4wd stuff I remove to offset cost too.
