Do Blazers rear passenger floors rust out often?

I bought a 90 Blazer and found the floors are rotten from the front of the front seat to the front of the rear seat. Someone welded a piece to the frame to fix this-what a joke! The metal in the floors seem to be really flimsy- even where there isn't rust! where is the best place to get replacement floor patch panels for one of these!!

They are prone to rusting in the area in front of the rear seat. Most are not as extensive as you have described, but they do tend to get a little rusty in that area.

i junking my 90 blazer, it has no rust anywhere. if one of you guys want the tub, let me know because it'll be going to the wrecking yard shortly after our weather clears up. my neighbor backed into it and knocked it into my 84 blazer, it messed up the front bumper, right front fender, rear bumper and tailgate and the insurance company totaled it ---$4200.00 damage. my boss wants the motor, i want the roof and rims and i'll part out the rest. i have a few people interested in parts off it but the tub and frame are going to be scraped. if you're serious about it and can arrange shipping i'll be glad to give it to you for free (the frame and tub) or for a reasonable price, i'll leave it a rolling chassis--frame, tub, and axles. if you want it as a roller, you can have it for $300.00:)

Jerry...what are you going to do with the complete bumper to bumper wiring harness? Also does the 90 have the 90-1 only power mirrors or rear roof mounted seat belts...

Doug,
doesn't have power mirrors or roof mounted seatbelts. as for the wiring harness, i seriously doubt i'll pull it out unless someone really strips the rest, i'm so disgusted with it being totaled i don't even like looking at it.

Where they rust is the seam at the step-up and where the reinforcements trap water/grit.That`s why it`s flimsy.
