What's the difference?

What is the difference between a 72 K20, and a 72 C20 4x4?
Are they virtually the same thing, or do sellers just not know exactly what the trucks are called that they are selling?
Thanks in advance!

Ok good, that's what I thought, just like the blazer's the K denotes 4x4. I'e just seen so many trucks for sale that say either one or the other and I wanted to make sure.
Thanks for the reply

Re: What's the difference?

The confusion comes in when the seller sees C/20 on the fender, when it is a 4X4. And all Blazers... 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, will be badged K/5.
That's why people get confused.

Re: What's the difference?

Which really means the confusion is justified. A K5 can be 2wd or 4wd and
C20 is the same fender badge that comes on a 2wd as well as a 4wd. The only true sure-fire designator is the K in the vin # and not what is on the fender.

Re: What's the difference?

I'm still trying to figure out if there was a "sierra grande" made in 1970. My son's new truck has SG badge on the QT and 1500 veight on the fender. The interior trim package is a hi end, with chrome vents and scrolled door panels, lots of options, etc. Some have told me SG started in 69 and some in 71. I just don't want to buy new badges to replace the broken and missing ones if there was no such creature. One of the vendors list the SG badges as 69-72 and told me that's accurate. Any others that know for sure???? :blah:
Sorry for the hijack!

Edit: No glove box sticker.

I don`t think there was a Sierra or Grande before`71,just like Cheyennes & Supers. It should have a SierraGrande fender badge.I always see the "All Wheel Drive" emblems listed as 67-72 when they were a 69/70 item.

I know for a fact they S/G was avalible in 70. We have a 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive version at a local junk yard.
