Need info on installing a tach on a 84GMC K1500

Hey guys, im trying to install a tach on my 84GMC K1500 and im not having very good luck finding out where all i have to tie the wires into, Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

green goes to tach connection on distributer white is a light source tie in to the headlight switch and red is power any power after ignition switch is on, and black is ground
