which brake lines for disc swap?
In the process of putting disc setup on the front of my '67 C-10. The new Master/Prop valve setup requires different lines and bends than the original. I picked up a set of lines for a 71 disc setup from the P-valve to the first fitting, but on the '67 they do not match. There is no original connection for the rear lines on the X-member. How far down the lines do I have go to link to the originals or do I have to replace the entire steel line setup?

Re: which brake lines for disc swap?
'67 may be an oddball since it's the first year for the line. But I would expect to see both front and rear splits to happen on the driver's side frame rail a little bit behind the front wheel, almost under the front edge of the firewall.

Re: which brake lines for disc swap?
it might cost a little money but for safety and insurance sake I would buy new lines that are prebent. A lot of companies offer reto kits for the disc swap. Reusing the old rear brakes lines are not a good idea.
As far as routing if you want to make your own, I would look at the LMC catalog. I wouldn't buy anything from them but their catalogs are good for refence purposes |
