My Hump
While taking the interior out of my 69 4x4 I removed the boot around the shifter for the 4x4.The hole assuming it should be rectangle was a sloppy
rectangle with jagedy edges and a spot were the "hacker" had got off course backed the blade up and went a different direction.Anyone else noticed that on theirs? So now i have another piece to weld up assuming i don't get another one.I am suppose to sell the 4x4 cab to my cousin to run on his 72 he uses in tractor pulls.Maybe I will trade him. |
Re: My Hump
Sounds like a good time to weld in a piece of steel to patch the hole. If it is going to be used as you say it wll, do you think it will matter? Even if you were to build it for the street/woods, the same would work. If you fix it and cover it up with a mat or carpet, who will know?
If you go to www.webshots.com and do a search for "humps", you will find that there is an entirely different thought process. This has nothing to do with your post, but seeing your title, sure made me think of other items referred to as humps. Forgive me, I don't mean to sideline your question. |

Re: My Hump
ok, now back to the question. See the piece I would be trying to fix
is for the transfer case shifter which i will still use ,just trying to make it look better so i can feel i have done it right.I hate to say this but i am putting an auto in place of the four speed so that is another hole to weld up.Speaking of that :anyone looking for a short shaft 4 speed and a 350. |
