Re: Anyone using a 90's model dash in their 73-87 truck??
I have seen a few done and thought about doing it in my 75 Jimmy. The newer dash is narrower so you have to decide to center it which would put the steering column out of line or put it in right spot and have a gap on the pass side. I guess you could fabricate some kind of steering adapter after it goes through the firewall. Also the way the newer dash is cut out for the rectangle under the steering column might not gel with an older column. I need to get my old dash removed and get the new one in there to see just how far off it would be. I will most likely leave part of the frame work of the old dash for support of the new one when I do it. Do you have pics of the one you saw?

I have been thinking about getting a salvaged suburban for my 88 and using the interior and drivetrain. That is an awesome mod. Its all still cheaper then a new truck with helps justify things to my wife.

Re: Anyone using a 90's model dash in their 73-87 truck??
There was a feature on a box chevy a while back, in one of the popular truck magazines. Anyway it used an early-to-mid 90's dash from a dually. Anyone have a pic of this truck or similar conversion?

I have another angle of the dash/interior that Brad posted. I also thought that I had one that someone put in a blazer... can't find it.
