A little progress on my suspension, 2wd bags
1 Attachment(s)
After a long winter of waiting for warmer weather (no garage heater) I have finally started on my suspension. Today I figured out where I am going to put my front tank and valves. We really don't have much room on these Blazers/Jimmy's to put the tanks and valves. Up front I am going to run a two gallon tank with my valves mounted to it. The tank will be mounted a couple inches behind the front bumper, but in front of the first crossmember.
Here's a picture. |
Re: A little progress on my suspension, 2wd bags
The valves do not hang below the frame at all. I will probably mount a piece of aluminum under the tank and valves to try to keep some dirt and water away, but this is going to be a fair weather vehicle anyway.
In the rear I am going to run a three gallon tank, it will be just outside the frame rail on the passengers side. The front and rear tank will be tied together with 1/2 air line. Both tanks will be fed by a York compressor. I hope to have all of this done by mid May. I only get a few hours a week in the garage, so this will be a long project. |

Interseting place to put the set-up, a couple of ?'s, does it interfear with
the bumper? does it interfear with the rad deflector? who makes the tank? |
Re: A little progress on my suspension, 2wd bags
It doesn't interfere with either. It's about two inches behind the bumper, and the top fitting will be about 1/2" from the radiator deflector. The tank is two gallon, do you want the physical measurements?
