It's Sunday dinner time, what did you accomplish this weekend?

I worked 48 hours straight. That got me big money to buy new wheels and tires.

Next week, it's on though.

I have lots of clean, detailed parts laying on my workbenches ready to be installed.

Got my 700r4 bolted up and holes drilled for the crossmember. Just have to wire up the overdrive and take care of the TV Cable.

Changed the Oil Pan Gasket while I was under there also.

Also finally DRILLED out my ignition key since the damn thing wouldn't come out. In the processs ruined the ignition switch behind the dash and the ignition bezel in front.

Got some turndowns for my exhaust put on. Apparently, Luv pointed out at the White House Cookout that where my exhast ends is a problem. Right above and on the rear end. So on my first long voyage to Maggie Valley it would boil my rear end fluid.

Made a little road trip from Big Sandy Tn. to Birmingham Al to pick up a 67short frame and a few odd and ends parts from board member SK 1970. Real stand up guy and pleasure to do business with. It took 2 1/2 hours to get loaded up and head back home. I will post pictures and a full report on the new project soon.

Installed power brake booster on four drum system, what a difference from manual, also guided the neighbor kid that was tearing down a tooyta V6 engine he overheated... towed it with the GMC- he wishes he would have bought a GM product now.

Went to the junkyard Saturday and got two van rallys with caps and rings for $30. Spent an hour Sunday stripping the paint from them and then had to go bring my father-in-law's basket case '72 Firebird to my house to store indefinitely.

Worked Saturday night. Got up this am and raked the gumballs out of the yard so it can be mowed. Neighbor is gonna take care of that stuff for me until this overtime ends. Truck is nowhere ready going to a show the first weekend of May. It's not a very good subject at this time.

My wife's sick of hearing me rant, so I'll share it with my virtual brethren. I'm in a truck stalemate because of money. I'd love to have spent a couple of hours doing something, anything, but I just can't right now. I looked at the truck when I put my kid's bikes away, that's it.

Oh yeah...the closest I came to my toolbox was buying a nifty wire stripper that I found on sale.

I took my truck to our first cruise night of the year. On the way to drop a buddy off at his house I had to show him the power of the big block. After dropping him off I headed for home and on the way I burned up the trans...:whine:

Dang, that sucks....

I helped my brother-in-law build a doghouse for his new dog. Sent my old KZ440 motorcycle carb diaphragms to England to have NRP rebuild them for half of what kawasaki wants for old "new" ones.
