For all you ppl in Indiana who are confused...
Spring forward.... fall back.
Spring you turn your clocks forward an hr, and in fall, you set them back an hr. This is the first time in over 30 years that Indiana has played with most of the rest of the nation and put a daylights savings time into effect. What states are left not doing it? Isn't arizona one of them? |
Re: For all you ppl in Indiana who are confused...
DST rules, didn't they start it a little earlier this year?

Daylight savings is to give us an extra hour of daylight in the evening where it can be put to the best use by most people. Here are the American areas and territories that do not observe it.No need in the tropics, around the equator they have are pretty well split with 12hours day/night. Arizona (with the exception of the Navajo Nation) and Hawaii and the territories of Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa are the only places in the U.S. that do not observe DST but instead stay on "standard time" all year long. |

To me, it makes sense not to observe DST in AZ or similar climates. Other wise, through the hottest part of the year you're sleeping when its cool, and working when its hot. I prefer the opposite to the greatest extent possible.
