Whats the best method or product to remove a oil puddle/stain from a cement driveway from a car?

Jackhammer, then pour driveway again. :)

I've never been able to completely get a large oil stain out.
If its a recent spill, kitty litter works pretty well.
For old spills, I put dishwasher soap (the granule kind) on the stain and let the rain wash it away.

The oil absorber stuff you can get in auto parts stores really works pretty well if put down immediatley after the spill. Let it sit a while--doesn't hurt to crush it a bit by walking on it. After a day or so, just sweep it up. Wouldn't be good enough for a wife to not complain but then again --what is!?
I accently once dropped a gallon glass jug of liquid insect sprey concentrate on our brand new black top driveway, and before i could dilute it with water--it ate right through to the dirt! Told her that it was her fault for complaining about a few little bugs--we were in texas and the bugs were scorpions, giant hairy spiders, etc.! hehehehhe

I just use kitty litter -- let it sit a while, then grind it in with your boots, then sweep it up.

soda blast it with a large powerwasher but i think even with that you will be able to tell where it was

home depot and lowes both have quite a few products for cleaning concrete choose one

I use brake cleaner every now and then on spots on my garage floor when needed. Totally removes any traces of oil left over that other cleaning methods will not take out.

I have had good luck using kitty litter/oil dry and kerosene. Scrub it with the kerosene and then apply the oil dry and it is amazing how clean it comes. Or just coat the rest of the drive way with oil and you'll never see the spot.

If I ever pour a new driveway it's gonna be black colored concrete. Hide oil stains and assist with snow melting.

Edgewater Technologies' Pour-N-Restore, (800) 508-7939, will take care of that problem. Be sure to work in the shade so the product has time to function.

I think it's found in many hardware stores. No scrubbing is necessary. Just pour it on, let it do its work, then sweep it away. It's pretty cool how it works.

Oil dry works if you can catch it in time.

Being originally from Ohio--I have found out that in Texas, the Texas sun will remove near all petroleum products from concrete.

My uncle has a pressure washing business and he has an attachment thingy that looks like a lawnmower with a hose attached to it, after he does driveways and sidewalks with it they look brand new.... so if the cleaners fail, you can justify buying a pressure washer to the wife:gi:

there were some really good suggestions on this one in the General Discussion forum. if you go into that forum and use the "forum search" feature in the top right-hand corner of the thread list, search for "Driveway" or "concrete" or even "stain" and i gaurantee you'll come up with a thread on the topic - some guys gave two absolutely fool proof ways to nuke oil stains.

Best way I have come up with is to pour mineral spirits on stain and swish around with broom. Floor dry on spirits for about an hour and stain is gone. Cheap and effective! You can even re-use floor dry afterwards.

Try pouring out some baking soda on the stain then dump Vinegar on the baking soda....let us know how it works

When the company moved my shop out of the building we were renting, we used TSP (tri sodium phosphate) you can get at the hardware store. Wet the floor, shake it on, let it sit, scrub it down, then rinse with water.
Nice grey concrete after 4 years of fixin trucks there!

What about muriatic acid? I know it's great for removing rust but isn't it also used for cleaning swimming pools? Its cheap around here, less than 3 bucks a gallon.

Edit: Nevermind, I just remembered muriatic acid doesn't work well on oil/grease, gets kinda gummy.

The best is powdered Tide detergent. put it on and scrub with a broom then let it sit for a couple of hours the wash off with a hose or pressure washer. I work for a large ready mix concrete company and this is the method out mechanics use in our shop to keep the floors clean.
