Another dumb question

I am changing the spark plugs in my 69 307. The plugs I pulled out are tapered and the ones I bought are not but do come with gaskets...Do I use the gaskets? They are Autolite AP85's.

The truck has later model heads on it,get the right plugs for it..R44T AC plug #

Oh yea..69-70 was a split on head design too..you have the later one..and there is never a dumb question....man it dont hurt to ask..Your welcome ,Erick
