The scrap pile grows!

I cut up my black 69 cab this week. I may get a few pieces worth saving for pacthes for someone down the line. Putter was here and saw it in person, but it was pretty pathetic once you got all the carpet, glue and silicon that was holding it together off. It really didn't take a lot of saw work on this thing. I got lazy towards the end and didn't feel like cutting up the vulcanized rubber, glue, fiberglass, and rust floorboards.

Crud forgot pictures. Oh well here they are, or a couple

WOW! I didn't think cabs got THAT bad in mississippi. I definately wouldn't feel bad about cuttin that up. It sucks you thought you had bought a truck with a nice cab. At least you had a spare!

The rust bugs really got to that one for sure. On the older trucks, I take a magnet with me. Also I look under the truck for rust. That does suck thinking it was a good cab and with air looks like. Oh well.

Bill, that truck had to have come from the north to look that bad, or from a river bed. You've got a nice one now though, right?

Yes, I have the 70's cab that will replace it. And no the truck was born and bread Mississippi. It just had a hard life. Once you let the leaks start and don't take care of them, they go to heck fast.
