1 Attachment(s)
Wassup everyone I just got myself some 20s and ive been lookin at the stuff to drop the truck. I was wondering which should I go with I want a even like drop. All input would be appreciated I had just replaced my shocks but it seems to ride rougher now it had 15*8 earlier.

Re: Advice on Drop
it rides bad because you don't have much side wall on your tire. I think you could go with a 4/6 drop and not run into any issues. But tHe best way to drop it would be to bag it.

Re: Advice on Drop
i wasnt going to say anything, but more tire would look better in my opinion.. especially with a longbed..

I agree with Hotrodhomi on the drop. If you can do bags, it would soften the ride. Here's a couple of pics of a 4" dropped long bed. The second pic is a photochop of probably around 6-8 drop.

Re: Advice on Drop
Ive been looking at kits are there any specifically designed for our year truck. The ones that I have seen are s-10s and 88-98 1500s.

For air ride, I've used www.airride.com & many people suggest www.*****************. ART has complete lits & SD has various parts to put together towards your own 'kit'. |

Re: Advice on Drop
This looks like the kit im goin for one question I think I read somewhere for big rims that you would want to use the spindles instead of springs. Is that correct?
'73 -'87 GM C-10/C-15 3/5 Economy/Deluxe Drops: If you're after the most drop for the least money, go with our 3/5 Economy Drop. It uses Smooth Rider 3" front coil springs and a 5" rear Western Chassis flip kit. Frame c-sections are added to the Deluxe Kit for those requiring the maximum in rear suspension travel (towing, load hauling, etc.). '73-'87 C-10/C-15 3"/5" Econo Drop: $209.95 '73-'87 C-10/C-15 3"/5" Deluxe Drop: $279.95 |
Re: Advice on Drop
spindles are always a better way to lift or lower... then if you want more than 3" you can get a 1" drop spring..
