lokar throttle cable
has anyone installed one of these, and if so, did you go with the 36" or the 24"?

24" is even too long but easy to trim. Follow the directions and a chop saw helps.

What he said. As for the directions they say to leave 2" for engine movement. Make that about 1" instead. I did the 2" and I have a really stiff pedal due to all the slack in the cable and the bends that got put in it. 1" should be plenty and give you a good pedal. The pedal end of the cable has a hook on it. I just took it and put it through the top of the pedal like my stock on was and it works fine. The pedal just pulls on the hook just like the stock one. I just used the hook as the end of the cable. Its hard to explain, but I'm sure you'll understand after you get under there and see it. |
