1990 k1500 problems

OK i bought this truck about 2 weeks ago i did a tune up fuel filter ignition coil ,ignition module, tps, egr, exhaust, oil change, map, new tb base gsk and it still has a hesitation like it's missfiring but if i let off the gas and accelerate agian it's fine .the truck is a 305 could it be the the fuel pressure regulator or fuel injectors the timing is also correct as i checked that.Any help would be great

Re: 1990 k1500 problems

Mine had hesitation problems and I changed all the sensors etc. Could not for the life of me figure out what was causing this problem. What I did do that finally changed the way the truck drove, I replaced the injectors, the fuel pump along with the sending unit and what made a big difference was the coolant sensors located on the intake by the water neck and the one on the driver's side of the block above the exhaust manifold. I also installed a JET performance chip in the ECM. As I said before I replaced alot of things including the entire ignition circuit from the spark plugs to the entire distributer. I replaced every sensor on and around the engine, put a TBI spacer in and an AIR RAID intake. I put in a set of shorty headers with O2 sensor and run 87 octane. I have heard though that if you run 92 octane, alot of these hesitation problems disappear. Good luck, Chip

thanks chip i will be trying new fuel inj. and a temp sensor i don't believe i'll be changing the oil pressure sensor as that seems to work great
