JEEP WAGONEER Blazer swaybar hiding underneath

I had a guy come to our shop with a '76 4WD Wagoneer he just got. When I put it in the air, things started looking familiar to me. :hmm: Front end, brakes, differentials, and a few other things were all GM, and a really nifty surprise. Front swaybar. Looks like it could be easily installed in a first gen K-5 with minimal metal fabrication. Didn't get a chance to measure things up, but there are tons of these Wagoneers in the yards cause they made the same truck well up into the late eighties. I'm gonna check the next time I'm in the yard. I was wondering if anybody else has made this discovery and has done a swaybar swap. (probably would be great for doing a disc brake upgrade too)

The only thing I can think of to put a limit on the vehicles you could "borrow" from is the fact that Jeep switched to Driver's drop differentials in 1980. Anything prior to that would have a better chance of fitting. I do believe that the Blazer axle is wider so there could be an issue with the axle mounts not lining up.

I drove my beast again today, and now that it has a locker it's downright scary to drive in certain situations. I am definitely doing a sway-bar on the front.

I think Bobby-K swapped in a 73-91 swaybar on his K5.

Thanks for the input, I'll keep that in mind when poking around in the yards.

I know people have fabbed up bars for their 1st gen blazers before.

First and last time i did 100mph in the blazer ( ) was beside a wagoneer..... we just kept going, it was a excellent day out. Before i knew it i was at the needle  They're interesting, but you know how those jeep guys are

edit: Oh, good luck! Let us know how it goes.
