New Engine
Had been planning on running the Olds 350 in my '56 Chevy when I get everything up and going, but I came across a deal too good to pass up. Pretty soon there's going to be an Olds 455 in my baby. Seller only wants $75 for it(no rotating assembly), so even if I find something wrong with it, at least I won't be losing my shirt. Wish school would hurry up and pass by so I can get started on my truck.

Re: New Engine
I hope it works out good for you! Those Olds big blocks have a lot more torque than the Chevy ones!

Re: New Engine
Let me know how it works out.
I have a 455 Pontiac with a Turbo 400 I want to put in my '57. I am in the process of grafting a 73 Camaro clip on the '57 frame. The rough measurements look good, but the devil is in the details. Gary. |
Re: New Engine
Gary, i can tell you now that it will definitely fit in the truck if that's what you're worried about. Someone swapped in the drivetrain of an Olds station wagon before I got the truck, and the 350 is almost the same size as the 455. Only thing that worries me now is how to convert it to AWD.
