Can someone tell me leaf spring width?
2 Attachment(s)
Maybe one of you with a 73-87 can help. My truck has a leaf conversion done by previous owner. I don't know what he used for the donor vehicle. I need to find out the width on 73-87 leaf springs so I can order my rear drop. Mine are 2.25, not sure if that is the same. .
Thanks. |

Pre-73  My stock leaf springs on my 83 measure 2 1/2" wide. |
Re: Can someone tell me leaf spring width?
Thanks for the info. This truck is a 71'. I think the PO may have used a camaro rear end and leafs. Gonna have to check further to see what was using 2.25 leafs.

Re: Can someone tell me leaf spring width?
I think that I would move the fuel pump from it's present position. Electric pumps are "Pusher" style pumps and the suction side is limited. I owuld mount the pump down lower, so that the tank is feeding the fuel to it by gravity. By the way, is it taking fuel out of the top of the tank? You may want to rethink that also.

Thanks. The entire fuel system is being replaced with an in-tank setup for fuel injection.. See my other thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=199087&page=2 |
