i need some frame work done but.....

I have been to just about all the body shops in my area to get some frame work done and they all tell me they can't do it 'cause they don't have the specs for it.

The frame is for my 68 2WD. it has a crack in one rail in front of the motor mount and it needs strightening. If its specs they need, where can i find them? Or are they saying that 'cause hey don't want to do it?

whats specs do you need exactly and where at on rail ? distance betweeen rails and certain points from the tip of the bumper horn ? i have a 70 2wd and a '68 front both undamaged out here i oculd get you measurements off of in millimeters for good accuracy.
alot of tape measures have millimeters units also, but some dont.
we use millimeters at work to set up the CNC machines program the X. Y, and Z axis commands and to measure all boring depths and holesaw drill cutting diameters and width and depths of routes and so forth and also to measure and make sure of accuracy of work done to any wood stock that we turn into the parts that the units we manufacture over there. we use down to 1/10(.10) of a millimeter.
25.4mm is in an inch

lemme know if i can help soemhow

Why not use a 73-87 frame? They are nearly identical.

The 73-87's are only simular in the front, the rears are different, especially if it has coil/trailing arms.

The 73-87 isn't a bad idea except that it doesn't have the trailing arms and coils. does it? I though that would make my future improvments easier. i plan on installing a 4 link.

Fast(Randy, I believe), I was reading and saw that list of parts. do you still have that frame? I would be interested in that. Could pick it up too. Been out that way before and i wouldn't mind seeing some more of IL.

Thanks guys?:)
