Tie rod end question.

I'm a bit confused. Currently looking for inner and outer tie rod ends for my 71 GMC 2wd. Both the local parts stores are asking around $27-$32 for each piece. LMC and Chevy Duty, to name a few, have them for around $16-$19 for each. is there that much difference in quality? I'd rather order them as I could save $40 or more but wonder if I'm missing something. "if it sounds too good to be true".

I agree 100% I personally would use Moog but TRW is good. Alot of my relatives worked at TRW making parts back when they were Thompson Products

Thanks guys, knowing there are differences in manufacturing (cheap) is what I really needed to know. I thought maybe it was a volume (sales) thing, but I think I'll go order the parts from the local parts store where I can ask "who makes these".

MOOG or TRW = good parts,,, can't go wrong with either one.

Spicer also has top quality bits. Definately worth the extra $$ for the quality.
