Tie rod end question.
I'm a bit confused. Currently looking for inner and outer tie rod ends for my 71 GMC 2wd. Both the local parts stores are asking around $27-$32 for each piece. LMC and Chevy Duty, to name a few, have them for around $16-$19 for each. is there that much difference in quality? I'd rather order them as I could save $40 or more but wonder if I'm missing something. "if it sounds too good to be true".

Alot of that cheap stuff is from China,,,when I did mine I bought all TRW stuff. Too much work to put in cheap parts!!!

Re: Tie rod end question.
Thanks guys, knowing there are differences in manufacturing (cheap) is what I really needed to know. I thought maybe it was a volume (sales) thing, but I think I'll go order the parts from the local parts store where I can ask "who makes these".

MOOG or TRW = good parts,,, can't go wrong with either one.

Re: Tie rod end question.
Spicer also has top quality bits. Definately worth the extra $$ for the quality.

I put Moog upper and lower ball joints in my project.Their pretty salty but I know it is worth it.
