Trans rebuilder in SoCal?
Anyone know of a reputable company that can rebuild my TurboTrans 400? I've got a small leak (at the shaft seal I think) only leaks when parked on stepish hill...but my driveway is a hill...so that's a problem. I think the only way to fix it is to have it rebuilt. How much should something like this run me?
Thanks for any help.... |
so no one knows a good trans rebuild shop in Southern Cal?

SoCal is a big area.... try being more specific.... orange county, riverside county, san diego county....????

It only leaks when parked up hill, sounds like a tailshaft housing seal a $5 part pull driveline(preferably not on a hill)block the wheels, pull old seal, put on new one.or take to a shop,im sure it would cost much, but this is a job anyone could do.

Desert...the leaking is occuring up front not from the tail...is there a similiar fix for the front? as you can tell i know very little about transmissions...
i'm in San Bernadino County but would travel to any of the four counties for a good rebuild at a reasonable price... thanks for the help... |
Daryl Young is in San Fernando Valley. He did a 400 for me back in 89 that I stuck behind a 750 hp 540. Never blew up
