Water Spot Removal
 

Hi Everyone, is there a chemical that can remove water spots when you finish washing your car?? Here in Vegas the weather's so hot that there's no time to dry your car. Any ideas?? Thanks, Luis.

Maybe purchase a water softener. Mine still had some spots but they came off really easy.

A good wash, wax, and buff should do it. That new thing from Mr. Clean has a water filter built in so that you don't get the hard water spots. I have a water softner in my house but you are talking big money for one of those.

HotRod, i do use the Mr. Clean water filter, but still those hard water spots keep appearing i dont know why because the filter was brand new. Maybe because i dont have a water softner and the water here in Vegas is very hard and limey. And a good water softner is very pricey.

Sounds like the water here too. Only other thing I can think of now would be buffing it. Worst case you would need some kind of cutting compound to get them out.

A buddy of mine had a black car, and sometimes when we would go to out of town car shows we would run into this problem. He would buy bottled water for his chamois. Always took care of the problem. I don't know if it would work in such a hot climate.

If they are there and won't wash off, you will need to buff, and follow with a real good wax. The hotter it is, themore often you need to wax

ok take a clay bar and rub it out mothers has a good clay bar to rub hard water spots

I live in AZ and have the same problem. What works for me is to wash/rinse in smaller sections. Dry sections as you go with CA blade. Don't worry to much about the overspray. Finish up with some Mother's Quick detail spray and a microfiber towel. Just accept the fact that you are going to have to take an extra step and a little more time to get your ride looking rite.

Wash it with automatic dishwasher detergent or mix it with car wash. Use a brand that fights water spots, so the water will sheet off.

Use a diluted mixture of vinegar and water in a spray bottle.
