Tires

Does anyone know how big of a tire i can get under my 81' 4x4 without have any problems? It is stock height, it also has factory dual shock setup if that matters any.

32"s most likely, possibly 33"s with little to no rub..

32 x 11.50 on 8 " rim would probably be it.....Depending on the style tire...you might get a 33" on it but I doubt it.

also depends on the "sag" in your suspension. Wear and tear on vehicles are different, some people will tell you 33"s will fit, others say 31"s. For them that maybe the biggest they can fit. but after 20+yrs the springs begin to wear out.. and sag.

It depends on your wheels too. I've got 33 12.50s on my truck, and even with saggy 2" lift springs the front rubbed awful when making even modest turns. Now with new 4" springs in the front, I STILL rub on occasion if the chassis twists a certain way at full lock. I don't know what the offset is on my wheels, but they don't stick out past the wheel wells, so it's not too large.

Thanks, now maybey I can get these P78 bias ply knobies off of it. I was thinking about going with a BFG all terrian KO, something a little more road worthy. What do you guys think?
