TACH GAUGE CLUSTERS - What years fit what? HELP!!!
 

It is my understanding that there is someone who knows all things, PLEASE O WISE ONE will you share your wizdom? I have an 86 swb and I bought a tach dash of E*#Y not knowing that it might not fit. It looks like it has a plug-in type tach harness and it has an AMP meter. How can you tell which year model you have? And what years fit what?
I just installed a 406sb/400 turbo tranny in and would like to be able to keep an eye on things, ediot lights ainn't right! HELP!!!!

DO NOT EVEN TRY TO PLUG THAT THING IN. IF YOU ARE LUCKY??!!! IT WILL ONLY IMMEDIATELY burn up the PC on the back of it but in a worse case scenario it can fry all your wiring. AMP gauges were only used the first 3 years . E-mail me at my home E-mail of all4trux@snip.net and i will send you the 'big picture' write up I have. BTW-you are looking for a nearly impossible tach dash.way too many variables to go into here.HEY GUYS!!!I don't get back to this board much but I will tell you all that I have Emailed many of the people on Ebay that advertise for 73-87 trucks and over half are unscrupulous money grubbers that don't care if YOU are wise to what fits what. One guy in particular wont answer or acknowledge any info I ask him to add to his ads for buyers' I can't babysit all these A-holes on Ebay but I can definately tell what fits what on these year trucks and would be happy to tell you if you Email me . they all know me too well :-). I am a member of 5 diferent ones.
I get spanked at chevytalk for offering parts for $, but they SEEM to enjoy my warped sense of humor.
I don't participate in the forum of 73-87chevytrucks because 90% of those guys are either here or at chevytalk.And I don't like the format there. I do check the classifieds there often and offer parts to those in need ;-).
CK5 is full of rock climbers & mudholers ( nothing wrong with that) BUT there ar MANY irresponsible youngins there.
and there is ome other one on geocities that they come to me wen they need to know something.

THANKS Crossy!!!! You got mail!! I guess I've got a tach gauge cluster for sell, $75.00 + shipping to anybody interested. I'll try to post a pick later this week. I have had to figure out alot of S*#T putting this 406 in where there was a V6. Thanks for keeping me from putting that thing in and burning something up.
