To those who have painted/finished their intake manifold
I have purchased a Edelbrock 2101 Intake and would lke some imput on painting/stainproofing it (to purty it up some as well) I found a thread on it awhile back but for the life of me cannot find it. I talked to a rep @ yearone about Eastwood products and he mentioned taking it and having it Jet hot coated. If anyone has done this process, where and how much or are there any other suggestions I sure would appreciate them. Also I'm considering rebuilding my Q-Jet and m wondering what to do with refinishing it as well. Thanks for letting me ramble.:) :bling: :two:

Re: To those who have painted/finished their intake manifold
Jet Hot did a friend of mine's intake on his Dodge and it came out great. I had an intake done at my local powder coating shop and I have had no problems. The important thing is that you get someone to do the coating in a temperature rated coating that will match what you are doing. Example--Exhaust should be 1200 degree high temperature coating, where an intake could be done in a lower temp. The Jet Hot coating is designed to be for High Temp and it is a shiney finish. I had my TPI parts coated in a silver metal flake clear and it came out great. The cost is up to those that are doing the work. My shop charged me $150 for everything that I had done, but there were a lot of pieces. The minimum at the powder coater I used is $35.00.
