Finally installed my Line of Fire LED strip
2 Attachment(s)
I got this a few months back and finally decided to install it. It's 60" long and has 60 LED's that work as running lights, blinkers, brakes and hazzards. I bought the T connector so I wouldn't have to splice any wires. It's mounted above the bumper and below the tailgate so it's undetected. The pic in the garage looks crappy. It looks way better at night outside. It's a real clean crisp red. I am planning on painting it body color when I get the truck repainted. When I hit my brakes, you get 700 total LED's exploding now!

If they can't see that you are stopping, someone should take their license away!

Re: Finally installed my Line of Fire LED strip
Thanks!. I got it off ebay for $27 because it was slightly used. They sell new ones for about $40. Eventually when I go to a rollpan it will be frenched in above the license plate. For now, this works/looks fine. It's held on with three, six inch strips of doubled sided 3m tape.

Re: Finally installed my Line of Fire LED strip
Does it interfere with the tailgate opening? How hard was it to wire in? I've been considering one of those for a while, because other drivers are idiots and I'm in Seattle traffic every day.
Do you have the LED tail lights too? |

Re: Finally installed my Line of Fire LED strip
A former board member was hand making these and other LED items for 67-72's before he signed an agreement with Early Classic Enterprises I believe. I haven't seen him post in a very long time. As far as I know he made two sets in this Caddy style where half the lense is lit until you brake or signal.

Re: Finally installed my Line of Fire LED strip
Would you happen to have a close up? Just curious. I have a friend who shaved his tail lights and put led strips of some sort in each side of his roll pan, smoothed it, and painted over them. You can't find them untill they light up through the paint. It may not be legal, but it sure looks cool.

Re: Finally installed my Line of Fire LED strip
