Temp Sending Unit Part#
 

My motor in my 72 is from an 84, can't use my stock sender because the hole is 3/8 instead of 1/2, does anyone know how to make the stock gauge read properly or have a part # for a 3/8 sending unit that will work with the 72's gauge

There must be some easy way to make the newer one work, like adding a resistor on the gauge or something.
