Thanks for posting the link .

Re: for those looking for 2wd lift
They do give the advertised lift, but they make the front ride like a tank. I put a pair on around 6 months ago. I like the lift, but the ride is killing me, specially on dirt roads.

Re: for those looking for 2wd lift

Do you know who made them.? Maybe a few contacts would turn some up . I also remember some one telling me the 88 to 98 lift spindles could be altered to fit our trucks ??? . |
Re: for those looking for 2wd lift
AIM was the only company that I saw that had them but I have never heard anything good about that company so I wouldnt trust them. As far as converting 88-98 spindles I was going to try it but never had the $$ or time. I have not seen a write up on it or anything so I dont know.

Re: for those looking for 2wd lift
Thanks for the link. I wish they would have larger size lit kits for us. I would love a 4" lift.

Re: for those looking for 2wd lift
Arent those just big block / heavy duty springs?
I seen a used Fabtech setup on ebay within a week. But the guy was crazy on the price you could really tell it had been used. It also had the dual mount shock hoops. |
Re: for those looking for 2wd lift
The springs I bought were actually 2 inch lift springs. Heavy duty springs/big block will give a little lift depending on how bad your stock springs are. I had a set of used big block springs on before the lift springs, and they gave me a little over a inch of lift. They were alot easier to work with than the lift springs though.

Re: for those looking for 2wd lift
Has anyone ever tried stock 88-98 half-ton coil springs? Back in the day, I used a set for a 2" lift on my 73 half ton 2WD truck. They'll fit easily in the stock location. You'll just need to cut them to size. It took a while to fit them to the desired height but they ride so much better than the super-thick motorhome springs I've seen sold by retailers. Plus, you can pick them up at a junkyard for around 10-20$. Just a suggestion...
